Our friendly, professional staff at Kismet Property Management, LLC will provide you with courteous service, responding promptly to calls, questions, and concerns. Communication with our clients is our top priority, and our goal is to treat each owner and tenant with care and attention.

Meet the Kismet Team:

Bo Jordan, CPM – Owner

A native of Memphis, Bo began buying investment properties in 2004. As a hands-on investor, he rehabbed his own properties, and found an affinity for the work. In 2007, he joined Kismet Property Management, LLC as manager of their property management division. One year later, he bought the company to focus mainly on property management. Today, he administers new business, oversees upkeep of properties, represents the company in legal transactions, and ensures adherence to best practices and standards.

For day-to-day activities, he feels very fortunate to have a staff that he trusts completely. “One of the most rewarding things about my job is watching my staff handle great responsibility,” he says. “They all meet challenges well and are constantly finding ways to improve both the business and themselves.”

Bo has 13 years of experience in progressive management, and an additional 15 as an investor/manager. He is an Affiliate Broker and is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management. In 2011, he achieved designation as a Certified Property Manager, the highest professional appellation in the field of real estate property management. Bo's experience in finding, negotiating, planning, financing, rehab construction, and operation of investment properties are an asset to his clients.

“My staff and I work hard to establish personal relationships with our clients,” Bo says. “I think it shows in our rock-solid reputation within the Memphis area, which is something I really value and work hard to maintain.”

LaTasha Smith – Leasing and Marketing Coordinator

LaTasha joined the company in 2011, first as a part of the maintenance crew. She quickly learned on the job, and became a full-time leasing agent in 2012. She matches clients with listed homes throughout the metro area, paying careful attention to the requirements of potential tenants and showing homes that meet or exceed their expectations. Her areas of responsibility also include marketing available properties and ensuring proper maintenance.

LaTasha earned her BS degree in Business Administration Management from LeMoyne-Owen College, and is working towards her real estate license. Meeting potential tenants, listening to their needs, and working with them to find the perfect property is the most rewarding part of her job. “We want to make sure you are comfortable in the home you rent from us,” she said. “I think that is what makes us stand out from other property management companies.”

Amy Jordan – Office Manager

As office manager, Amy is a friendly voice for anyone who calls in with questions or requests. She assists with day-to-day operations and coordination of tenant requests and services. Amy is responsible for all new leases and all renewal agreements, carefully reviewing contracts with each new or returning tenant. In addition, she ensures the database of tenant information is up-to-date, including emergency contacts. Serving as a backup to the Maintenance Manager, she connects tenants to the appropriate vendors and dispatches personnel based on immediate needs. For property owners, she establishes rental rates by surveying local pricing and profit goals.

After years in a sales and marketing career, Amy is glad to be a full-time member of the Kismet team. “Our company has a reputation in the industry of high quality service and dependability – when we say we are going to do something, we do it. As a family owned and operated business, we truly care about our clients and it shows,” she said.

Acquanetta Harris – Broker

Acquanetta has been the active managing broker for Kismet since 2016. A certified Tennessee Association of Realtor Instructor, she owns Care+er the Real Estate Learning Center. As an instructor her goal is to put her students’ needs first, and to deliver exceptional service and experiences.

A licensed realtor since 1990, she is a Life member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Multi Million Dollar sales association, a Certified Realtor Specialist, a Graduate Realtor Specialist, and an ordained minister.

“I have loved working in real estate for years,” she says. “It is most rewarding to me to build relationships and satisfy my customers. I feel that Kismet has the same values. They have an outstanding staff that is ready, willing, and able to go the extra mile to keep customers happy.”

Nancy Rhoads – Maintenance Manager

Nancy is another of the friendly voices both tenants and owners hear when they call the office. Renters submit requests to her for repairs and maintenance, and she coordinates with vendors to make sure the job is done properly. Nancy works with owners to make sure all maintenance costs are approved, and processes all lease payments. Her responsibilities include handling move outs and “make readies” – ensuring that each newly vacated property is ready for potential tenants. Her job also entails taking applications from potential tenants, handling deposits, and backing Amy on leasing.

After 26 years with a collection agency, Nancy says she is enjoying her work at Kismet: “It is never routine here – there is something new every day!”

She especially appreciates the way Kismet builds relationships with their clients based on trust and respect. “We love talking to people and helping them find the right place for their budget,” she says. “We work together as a team to make sure our tenants and owners are happy.”
